
DR. JAY P. MALMQUIST
Dr. Malmquist is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon with advanced training and experience in the field of dental implants, bone regeneration and bone grafting. He graduated from the University of Oregon in 1967 and the University of Oregon Dental School in 1971. He completed his Internship in the US Army at Moncriff Army Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina and his Residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, Oregon in 1977.
Dr. Malmquist is a Diplomat of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, an honor given only after extensive written and oral examinations. Dr. Malmquist is on the staff at several Portland Hospitals providing trauma support for maxillofacial injuries. He is a Fellow of the American College of Dentists and the International College of Dentists; honors bestowed by his colleagues in dentistry.
Dr. Malmquist has lectured nationally, as well as internationally, on all phases of implantology and bone regeneration. He has authored numerous articles and several chapters in the most recent textbooks on dental implants and bone regeneration. He is actively engaged in current research on bone physiology and bone regeneration at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. He currently maintains a private practice in Portland where bone regeneration and dental implants make up a large part of his practice.
