Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery requires up to 6 additional years of hospital based surgical and anesthesia training. All of our Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons manage a wide variety of problems relating to the Mouth, Teeth and Facial Regions. They practice a full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with expertise in Cosmetic Enhancement, Corrective Jaw Surgery, Wisdom Tooth Removal, Facial Trauma, and Surgical Dental Implant procedures.

An oral and maxillofacial surgeon (OMS) is a specialist of the mouth, teeth and jaw and facial structures. Many people suffer with pain from deformities or trauma in these areas. In most cases, pain is the first sign something is wrong. Yet, the fear of pain often prevents people from seeking the help they need in oral care. Surgical dental problems require specialized care.

Dr. Malmquist is certified in anesthesiology and administers general anesthesia and IV Sedation within the office setting. Patients are monitored during and after surgery. In addition, full hospital care is provided. Dr. Jay P. Malmquist, can be reached at 503-292-8824. Our fax number is 503-297-7810.
